We supply, install, service and repair a wide range of equipment including balers, compactors, conveyors and recycling systems. Job Summary
We are looking for a practical, hands-on engineer to join our growing team. The role combines workshop-based fabrication and repair work with regular weekend work at customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and breakdown support.
Responsibilities
Workshop Duties
- Welding and fabrication of steel components and assemblies
- Repair and refurbishment of waste and recycling equipment
- General workshop engineering and maintenance activities
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Assisting with the manufacture and modification of equipment
Service & Maintenance
- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance of customer equipment at client sites
- Work regular weekends to perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and repair activities
- Inspect machinery and proactively identify potential faults before they develop into operational issues
- Accurately complete service reports, maintenance records and associated documentation
Breakdown & Repair Work
- Attend customer sites to diagnose faults and carry out repairs
- Work on mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical systems
- Replace worn or damaged components
Installation & Commissioning
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new and refurbished equipment
- Carry out testing and adjustments to ensure equipment operates correctly
- Support project work as required
