Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 commercial truck during night shifts to transport freight to the Pallet force Hubs.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo, including flatbed freight, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with the hub personnel and night operator
- Assist with troubleshooting minor vehicle issues and report any mechanical concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with delivery or trunk runs.
- Strong knowledge of securing loads, and transportation safety standards.
- Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks confidently during night hours in various weather conditions.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo as needed and perform vehicle inspections.
Pay: £18.85 per hour
