Resettle (Intensive Intervention & Risk Management Services) is an innovative community service, providing an alternative approach to enhancing the lives of service users who have complex needs due to their personality related needs and offending histories. We are a true partnership model between Merseycare NHS Trust, the Probation Service and Merseyside Police and are part of the Offender Personality Pathway.
Applications are welcomed from individuals with an optimistic, realistic attitude to working with individuals who have committed sexual and/or violent offences who also have significant personality difficulties. We invite applications from individuals who are empathic, flexible, able to work as part of a busy, multi-agency team, to manage risk and address psychological needs.
The post holder is expected to work in wide range of settings, including to prisons and working in the community, but will be based at the Resettle base, with travel being an integral part of the post.
To support and enhance the professional psychological care of service users within the service, across all relevant sectors; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with the supervising qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
