We are seeking skilled Fire Door Carpenters specialised in fire protection and prevention to join our team, working on projects throughout London. You will possess a strong understanding of fire safety regulations, building codes, and construction techniques related to fire prevention.
We have positions available across both new fire door installations and fire door remedial works, and are keen to hear from carpenters with experience in either or both areas. The primary responsibility of the Fire Door Carpenter is to install, maintain, and repair fire doors to mitigate fire hazards and enhance safety across a variety of environments. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Installation of fire doors in accordance with British Standard regulations and the BM Trada Q-Mark scheme.

Maintenance and repair of fire doors in accordance with the BM Trada Q-Mark scheme.

Working on FRA (Fire Risk Assessment) remedial actions, carrying out basic carpentry tasks such as cutting, measuring, and fitting doors and frames.

Conducting inspections and assessments to identify fire door deficiencies and recommending appropriate corrective actions.

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Following all health and safety guidelines and regulations.

Providing timely reports and certification for completed works.

Attending training sessions and courses as required.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry or another relevant trade.

A valid CSCS or ECS card.

Asbestos awareness certification.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Minimum 2 years' experience in fire door installation and/or maintenance.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Installation roles — fitting new fire doors as part of ongoing installation projects.

Remedial roles — carrying out repairs and corrective works identified through Fire Risk Assessments.
