Position Overview:
As a HIU Engineer - Service and Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of our client's heating systems. This position involves servicing and maintaining HIUs, cylinders, thermal stores, heating controls, and underfloor heating systems. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem solving, and a commitment to delivering high quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of Heat Interface Units, cylinders, thermal stores, heating controls, and underfloor heating systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to identify and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Conduct system inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and providing technical support.
- Keep accurate records of service activities, including maintenance schedules, reports, and equipment documentation.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance technical knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a HIU Engineer or similar role, with a focus on servicing and maintaining heating systems.
- Proficiency in working with Heat Interface Units, cylinders, thermal stores, heating controls, and underfloor heating systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Relevant technical qualifications such as NVQ Level2. Level 3 is desirable.
- Valid G3 Unvented cylinder ticket
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Commitment to safety protocols and industry best practices.
- UK driving licence
