Overview
I am seeking a talented and experienced Cafe Chef. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. Duties
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the café and kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and customer preferences.
- Oversee food safety standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimise waste and control costs.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Develop new menu ideas
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and cafe area, adhering to hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, or culinary roles within a busy hospitality environment.
- Supervising experience coupled with strong team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Demonstrable expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and restaurant operations.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of kitchen staff.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
