Overview
This is currently a temporary position for 3 months.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented External Transport Manager / Transport Compliance Manager to lead and oversee transportation operations, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transportation operations, coordinating with carriers, drivers, and logistics teams to optimize delivery schedules and service quality.
- Conduct regular audits of transport activities to verify adherence to safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
- Manage documentation related to transport compliance including licenses, permits, inspection reports, and incident records.
- Stay informed about evolving transport legislation and industry best practices to proactively update policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of transport regulations, licensing requirements, and safety standards applicable across different regions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with regulatory bodies, external partners, and internal teams.
- A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail to ensure full compliance and operational excellence.
The employment is going to be based on 0 hour contract.
Approximately expected not more than 4 hours per month.
Perfect kick start for a newly qualified candidate.
Pay: From £20.00 per hour
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Transport Manager CPC (preferred)
