We are seeking a dedicated Night Porter to provide exceptional guest services and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment during overnight hours. Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon arrival and provide courteous assistance during their stay
- Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using hotel management systems
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security
- Handle guest requests or complaints with professionalism and tact, ensuring a positive experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of common areas, including lobby and reception desk
- Assist with administrative tasks such as logging incidents or maintaining records of overnight activities
- Collaborate with daytime staff to ensure seamless communication and continuity of service
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with hotel policies and regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel or guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly advantageous for assisting our diverse guests
- Excellent communication skills with good phone etiquette
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy or emergency situations
- A friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude towards guests and colleagues
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required
