Logic Accounts Limited is a friendly and growing accountancy practice based in Saltash, providing accounts, taxation, bookkeeping, payroll and business support services to a wide range of clients.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts & Payroll Senior to join our small team. This is a varied role where you'll work closely alongside the Managing Director, providing one-to-one support across all areas of the practice. The successful candidate will enjoy working independently, taking ownership of their workload and building strong relationships with clients.
This role is initially offered on a part-time basis (24-32 hours per week), with genuine scope for it to increase to full-time as the practice continues to grow.

Duties
- Prepare sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts.
- Prepare Self Assessment Tax Returns and sole trader tax computations.
- Prepare rental property accounts and property income schedules.
- Process payrolls and pension submissions.
- Prepare and submit VAT Returns.
- Complete Companies House filings, including Confirmation Statements.
- Liaise with clients, HMRC and Companies House.
- Use Xero, QuickBooks and Sage to prepare and maintain accounting records.
- Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations and reviewing client records.
- Help manage client deadlines and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
- Support the day-to-day administration and smooth running of the practice when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' recent experience working within an accountancy practice.
- AAT qualified (preferred) or qualified by experience.
- Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Experience processing payroll and pension submissions.
- Experience preparing Self Assessment Tax Returns.
- Knowledge of sole trader tax computations and rental property accounts.
- Experience with Companies House filings and Confirmation Statements.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
- Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
