Warehouse Processing Operative
At SCB, we are looking for someone who is keen to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, boxing and labelling used car parts. As our new Processing Operative, you will be joining a great group of processing staff, eager to welcome another member to the team!
You will be responsible for preparing and packaging car parts for storage and resale, ensuring that each part is correctly labelled and boxed for dispatch.
About the Role
As a member of our parts processing team, you will be responsible for boxing and labelling used car parts that are ready for resale. You will ensure parts are fit for purpose, labelled accurately, and prepared for storage or dispatch.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
When parts are removed from vehicles, they often need cleaning before being packaged. You will use a variety of cleaning products to ensure parts are presentable and ready for resale.
Once parts are cleaned, you will be responsible for labelling them. This includes adding tags with part numbers, condition notes, and other relevant information to ensure they are accurately recorded in our inventory system.
After labelling, parts will be securely boxed, using appropriate packaging materials to protect them during storage or shipping. You will ensure that parts are boxed to the right standards, based on size and fragility.
After boxing, parts will need to be tagged and scanned into the appropriate storage location using an android phone or tablet. Accuracy is important to ensure correct inventory tracking.
You will assist with locating boxed parts in the store for dispatch. When orders come in, you'll ensure that the correct parts are retrieved, packaged, and ready for shipping.

- Permanent / Full-time hours: 8:00-17:00 (Monday-Friday), 40-hour week

Essential Skills
- A hands-on approach to tasks
- Diligent and careful when boxing and labelling parts
- Good level of competency in using an android phone and tablet
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks within the same area (boxing, labelling, scanning)
Desirable Skills
- Previous warehousing or inventory experience is beneficial but not necessary – full training will be provided on the job

As a family-run business, SCB Vehicle Dismantlers is one of the biggest vehicle dismantlers in the UK. Our operations are split between selling salvageable vehicles on our auction site and dismantling/selling used parts. Our Newbridge site processes vehicles for dismantling, and our team sells high-quality used parts.
