Alfa Staff – Steel Operators
Alfa Staff are looking for Steel Operators for a Client who are main suppliers of treated Steel. The Steel Operators would receive on-going training throughout their development. Initially the steel operator would be trained on the basic operations, followed by further training on various equipment from overhead gantry to counterbalance forklift.
Experience in a manufacturing environment or steel industry is advantageous but not essential.
Hourly Rate: £14.39 Per Hour
Rotating shifts: Monday to Friday 5.30 – 13.30 - Days
Followed By: Monday Tuesday 14.00 – 22.00 and Wednesday Thursday – 14.00 – 02.00 with Friday off. - Afternoons
½ hour paid lunchbreak.
Weekend shift:
Friday 10:00 to 19:30
Saturday / Sunday 07:00 to 19:30
The Steel operators must: -
Be able to lift as it’s physical work and the Steel operator will be required to lift 20kgs.
Have knowledge and experience of health & safety and manual handling.
Be able to work in a team environment
Be able to quality inspect work
Essential Skills:
Good attention to detail
Ability to working individually and as part of a team
Ability to work to deadlines and ensure targets are met in a safely manner
