The Role
We are looking for an experienced CQC Registered Manager to set up and run a 13‑bedded Residential Care Home providing short‑term, rehabilitation‑focused support. This new service will offer strengths‑based, therapy‑led residential care to adults who are either being discharged from hospital or are at risk of admission. It will primarily support Older Adults, helping them maximise independence and return home wherever possible.
Main duties:
- To effectively lead and manage the Services within the area of responsibility of the post.
- To perform the responsibilities required of a CQC Registered Manager for the short term residential reablement and rehabilitation service.
- To ensure that the service complies with the Health and Socal Care Act 2008 and the CQC fundamental standards. This includes maintaining high quality service delivery and ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met throughout the service.
- To take overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the service, including recruitment, training and support of the staff team, and ensuring that sufficient staff are employed within the service to enable it to run safely, in compliance with CQC standards and in accordance with the reablement needs of the people accessing the service.
Your most recent management role must have been in a care home rated Good or Outstanding by the relevant regulator (e.g. CQC).
There is an expectation to work on site for at least 3 days out of 5; visibility and onsite leadership will be essential for this role, and the successful candidate would need to be ready to work their hours on site whenever required by the service.
