An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Operative to join our team here at Battles.
Battles started in 1832 and is an award-winning manufacturer and leading provider of all of the major animal health, equestrian and pet care brands worldwide. 193 years later, we are still going from strength-to-strength and are continuing to carve our name as the first choice equestrian wholesaler.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Operative to join our manufacturing team who develop our unique products through the use of raw materials and production methods.
This role is full time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Responsibilities:
- Weighing out raw materials accurately with attention to detail essential.
- Follow production documents with precision to manufacture finished products.
- Ensure the correct use of PPE.
- Fill finished products in to bulk containers.
- Booking in materials using the correct procedure.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the departments and equipment.
- Perform assembly, packaging or manufacturing tasks according to operational standards and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work space in line with health and safety regulations.
- Fill finished products into packaging.
- Complete relevant documentation and maintain accurate production records.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Fork lift counterbalance licence - desirable
- Fluent in the English language to ensure products manufactured safely and correctly.
- You like a challenge and enjoy problem solving.
- Previous experience working in a production environment.
- You will be conscientious and attention to detail matters to you
- Ability to use your initiative and work well on your own and within a team.
- Basic Math skills.
- Health and Safety conscious.
- Some heavy lifting maybe required.
