Main duties, tasks & skills required
As a Healthcare Assistant on our Bank, you will support clinical teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
Key duties include:
Assisting patients with personal care and daily activities
Supporting eating, drinking, and mobility
Working with Registered Nurses to follow care plans
Monitoring patients and reporting concerns
Assisting with basic clinical tasks (following training)
Supporting admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
Communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues

As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will support Registered Nurses to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, comfort)
Support eating, drinking, and mobility
Assist with basic clinical tasks following training
Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
Monitor patients and report concerns promptly
Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and the team
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Follow Trust policies including infection control and safeguarding
