Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Fire Risk Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating fire safety measures within various premises, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough fire risk assessments across commercial, industrial, and residential properties
- Analyse existing fire safety systems and identify potential hazards or deficiencies
- Develop customised fire safety plans and system designs aligned with current legislation and best practices
- Provide clear, detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and required actions
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant authorities to ensure compliance and facilitate implementation of safety measures
- Keep abreast of updates in fire safety regulations and integrate changes into assessment procedures
- Assist in training clients or staff on fire prevention strategies and the proper use of safety systems
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable
- Strong background in system design, particularly relating to fire detection, suppression, or alarm systems
- Previous experience conducting fire risk assessments or similar evaluations is advantageous
- Knowledge of current UK fire safety legislation and standards is essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to produce detailed documentation
- Effective communication skills to explain technical information clearly to non-specialists
