Quality & Technical Administrator
Location: Sheffield
Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
Pay: £26,436.80 - £28,496 (depending on experience)
2Fawcett are working with a client based in S20 who are looking for an experienced Food Technical Assistant to join their technical/admin team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within the food industry and gain experience across quality, food safety, technical and administrative functions. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to start between 6am–8am.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Comfortable communicating by email and telephone.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Previous food industry or technical experience is desirable but not essential.
Main Duties
- Carry out internal factory audits, including GMP, fabrication, glass & hard plastic and metal detection checks.
- Carry out calibration checks on equipment such as temperature probes and scales.
- Assist with environmental swabbing, water sampling and product sampling.
- Monitor laboratory results and testing schedules.
- Assist with investigating customer complaints and communicating findings to relevant departments.
- Assist with non-conformance investigations, corrective actions and root cause analysis.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers as required.
- Check production paperwork and other technical documentation.
- Maintain training records and technical spreadsheets.
- Assist with ordering technical equipment and chemicals and arranging external calibration.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with general Technical/Admin duties.
