Rather than asking you to jump straight into self-employment, our client offers something refreshingly different.
You'll start with a paid three-month locum introduction , giving you time to experience the clinic, meet the team, build relationships with patients and decide whether it feels like the right long-term home for you.
If it works for everyone, you'll then have a clear route into a self-employed associate position.
We think that's a brilliant way to explore private practice. And if Paediatric or Cranial Osteopathy is an area you already enjoy, or would love to develop further, the clinic's long-established Paediatric service makes this opportunity particularly interesting.
We're looking for a GOsC Registered Osteopath with strong MSK foundations and a genuine interest in delivering excellent patient care.
Essential:
- Degree or Master's qualification in Osteopathy
- Strong MSK assessment and clinical reasoning skills
- Confident manual therapy and hands-on treatment skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
We'd love it if you also have:
- Around 2+ years' Osteopathy experience
- An interest or experience in Paediatric and/or Cranial Osteopathy
- Experience treating babies, children or families
- Additional Cranial Osteopathy training
- Sports or clinical massage skills
You don't need to tick every desirable box. If Paediatric or Cranial Osteopathy is somewhere you'd like your career to develop, we'd still love to hear from you.
You'll manage a varied Osteopathy caseload within an established multidisciplinary private practice.
Your work may include:
- MSK assessment, diagnosis and Osteopathic treatment
- Developing personalised rehabilitation programmes
- Supporting patients across a range of ages
- Treating babies, children and families where appropriately trained and within your scope of practice
- Cranial Osteopathy where appropriately trained
- Patient and parent education
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and developing long-term patient relationships
You'll also have access to an on-site rehabilitation gym, Pilates studio and strong internal referral network to support your patient care.
You'll initially work around 12 hours per week , typically across two six-hour shifts , with some flexibility around the working pattern.
Additional sessions may become available as your caseload grows.
The clinic is based in Balham, South West London , with excellent transport links and an established local reputation built over more than 20 years.
The initial three-month locum period gives you the opportunity to experience private practice without immediately committing to a long-term self-employed arrangement.
If it's the right fit for you and the clinic, you'll then have the opportunity to transition into a self-employed associate position and continue developing your caseload.
You'll also be joining a collaborative clinical environment where you can continue learning, particularly if you'd like to build further experience in Paediatric or Cranial Osteopathy alongside your broader MSK practice.
If you'd love the opportunity to experience an established private practice before making a longer-term commitment, we'd love to hear from you.
Please apply via the application portal .
