We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our veterinary practice. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during consultations, examinations, and surgical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor anaesthetic and post-operative recovery of animals
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to animals in recovery
- Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, and aftercare instructions
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of treatment areas and kennels
- Support laboratory testing procedures, including sample preparation and analysis
Skills
- Previous veterinary experience is essential for understanding clinical procedures and animal handling
- Laboratory experience is desirable to assist with diagnostic testing and sample processing
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping
- Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
