Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods by ensuring supplies are stocked and ready for use
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure a safe and organised environment
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the overall organisation of the kitchen to facilitate efficient workflow during service hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards is beneficial
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills
- Previous serving or hospitality experience is a plus but not mandatory
