We have an exciting role on offer within our Policy, Governance & Information Service as an Analytics Officer / Analytics Business Partner.
An opportunity has arisen in our team for the right candidate as we increase our ambitions around use of data and analytics. This role is perfect if you’re already working in a data analysis environment and want to widen your professional growth. Whilst an understanding of Local Government analytics is preferable, it’s not essential.
The post holder will support the work of the Neighbourhoods Teams as well as Middlesbrough Community Safety Partnership. This post will involve the collation, analysis and reporting of information that is relevant to monitoring levels of crime and antisocial behaviour across the Borough. You will be working within a multi-agency environment.
You will be working with all levels of the organisation including our senior management team. You will need to be confident, focussed and be able to collect requirements, design, and build business intelligent solutions to meet the needs of the organisation.
What you will be doing: -

Reporting and dashboarding to create data visualisations and predictive analytics. We use Power BI and Alteryx.

Collaborating on reporting data, identifying and solving problems, and develop a whole system approach.

Facilitating data extraction with external agencies, using data to map ‘as is’ processes, identify opportunities to improve and map the ‘to be’ processes to support programme improvement.
You will be: -

Highly experienced in the use of technology and have experience of using related software, including Power BI, ETL tools (ideally Alteryx), Excel.

Confident, articulate and able to adapt your approach to suit your audience.

Passionate about data analytics.

Focussed on the detail, with excellent analytical skill and delivering the required products and results.

An excellent communicator, creative and adaptive in your approach.

Creative and proactive, contributing towards changes and seeking improvements.
