We're looking for a Premises Officer to join our Lewisham PFI Schools team based in Lewisham.
Location: Trinity School, Lewisham
Hours: 40 hours per week

The Premises Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the school environment is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. You'll be working closely with the Premises Manager and school staff to support the smooth running of the premises, carrying out essential maintenance tasks, and helping to create a positive space for students and staff alike. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Premises Officer, you'll be working within the Premises team, supporting them in maintaining and safeguarding the school premises. Your day to day will include:
- Conducting regular quality checks of the premises to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality
- Carrying out minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky taps, patching walls, and repairing door hardware
- Responding promptly to maintenance issues and liaising with external contractors for larger repairs
- Supporting school staff with porterage tasks including moving furniture, mounting displays, and delivering parcels
- Maintaining site security by opening and locking gates, patrolling the premises, and ensuring safety doors are secured
What are we looking for?
This role of Premises Officer is great for you if:
- You have previous experience in premises management, facilities maintenance, or a similar role
- You have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and can identify potential hazards
- You're capable of handling physical tasks safely, including moving equipment and furniture
- You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with others
- You're flexible, can prioritise tasks effectively, and are willing to work outside regular hours when needed
