We're looking for a Programme Design Lead to help design, develop and deliver the next generation of our educational programmes.

About the Role
As Programme Design Lead, you'll be responsible for developing engaging, safe and innovative learning programmes that combine adventure activities with curriculum outcomes and personal development.
You'll work closely with our leadership team, instructors and technology specialists to create programmes that are educational, exciting and operationally practical.
The role is primarily home-based within the UK but requires regular travel to Manchester and the UAE. For the right candidate, relocation to the UAE is also available.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop adventure-based educational programmes for schools.
- Create detailed session plans and lesson content aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Develop engaging activities that teach both academic subjects and essential life skills.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive risk assessments, operating procedures and instructor manuals.
- Source and evaluate equipment suitable for programme delivery.
- Work with suppliers to identify new equipment and technologies.
- Develop training materials and deliver training to instructors and partner organisations.
- Review and continuously improve existing programmes using participant and instructor feedback.
- Ensure all programmes comply with health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Support the launch of new products and experiences across the UK and internationally.
- Travel to support programme implementation, testing and quality assurance.
- Willingness to pitch in with cross-department duties when necessary
About You
You'll be creative, organised and passionate about using adventure as a powerful educational tool.
You should have experience designing or delivering outdoor learning programmes and be comfortable balancing educational outcomes with practical operational requirements.
Essential
- Qualification(s) in outdoor education, adventure sports, education, sports coaching or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering and managing outdoor education or adventure activity programmes.
- Experience creating session plans, activity programmes or educational resources.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and safe operating procedures.
- Experience training, mentoring or assessing instructors or staff.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- National Governing Body (NGB) qualifications in one or more adventure sports (e.g. climbing, paddlesports, mountain biking, archery or similar).
Desirable
- High level NGB qualifications (RCDI, MCI, Paddlesports coach etc.)
- University Education
- Experience writing curriculum-linked educational content.
- Knowledge of the UK/UAE National Curriculum.
- Experience working within schools or the education sector.
- Experience sourcing specialist outdoor equipment.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience using digital learning platforms.
- An interest in emerging technology.
