About the role
Location: Raynesway, Derby
Balfour Beatty is recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join our Fire Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who enjoys coordinating projects, collaborating with a range of stakeholders and supporting the successful delivery of essential fire safety services. You'll play a key role in ensuring works are planned, delivered and completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, helping to protect people, properties and critical infrastructure.
What you'll be doing
As an Project Coordinator, you'll support the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of Fire Services activities by:
- Coordinating planned maintenance, remedial works, small works and reactive call-outs.
- Managing and maintaining maintenance schedules and trackers to ensure activities are completed on time.
- Supporting resource planning and scheduling to maximise operational efficiency.
- Working closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure seamless planning and mobilisation of works.
- Coordinating materials, equipment and specialist resources to meet programme requirements.
- Supporting responses to reactive breakdowns and service disruptions.
- Maintaining accurate operational records, reports and documentation.
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers and operational teams.
- Keeping stakeholders informed on planned works, progress updates and issue resolution.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
Who we're looking for
- Highly organised with excellent planning and coordination skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong communicator with a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborative and confident in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams and Outlook.
- Passionate about safety, quality and continuous improvement.
While not essential, we'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in operations coordination, scheduling or project support.
- Experience within Fire Services, Facilities Management, Construction or Engineering environments.
- An understanding of maintenance planning, reactive works coordination or service delivery.
- Experience working in a customer-facing or stakeholder-focused role.
