Job Title: Construction Tutor

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Due to rapid growth within the business, we’re looking for a Construction Tutor to join our amazing team at Leep Group! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation making a difference within the community.
Our Construction Tutors provide expert teaching and learning across our adult learning provision with the primary focus of ensuring the candidate has the highest quality skills to deliver effective teaching and learning for our learners. The role would also involve working with the Delivery Manager and the Quality teams to develop and deliver the highest level of quality for learners. The post holder would deliver an outstanding learning experience on behalf of Leep Group to learners in preparation for their next steps.
This is a predominantly face-to-face delivery role, with regular travel as an essential requirement - a full UK driving licence and access to transport is desirable.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver predominantly face-to-face training across multiple venues and mobile training facilities, delivering Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in Electrical, Plumbing or Bricklaying, with regular travel to training venues in line with business and commissioner requirements.
- Assist learners with all aspects of the course and deliver sound advice and guidance to enable learners to make informed decisions about their future goals.
- Motivating learners to realise their full potential through flexible delivery methods within an online setting, following TLA plans but adapting them to make them your own, and delivering encouraging, nurturing and motivating training.
- Support learners in improving their everyday English, Maths and ICT skills, as well as implement strategies to support learners in self-esteem and confidence building, drawing up agreed action plans with learners and monitoring their progress.
- Ensure records of support provided are maintained and agree methods of working with Head of Pre-Employment Training to demonstrate individual distance travelled, accurately record daily learner attendance and follow up and learner absence swiftly.
The Ideal Candidate
- 2+ years experience in a similar learner-facing role, with proven experience of outstanding results.
- Minimum of L3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS), L2 Maths & English and L3 qualification in relevant delivery area.
- L3 Assessor’s Award, or willingness to work towards in first 6 months.
- Up to date knowledge of current initiatives relating to the subject area, with strong organisation, time management and administrative skills.
- Strong IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The successful candidate must also complete all pre-employment vetting and will complete safeguarding training during their induction.
