We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Independent Prescribing (IP) Pharmacist to join our team in Greenock. This vital role involves delivering comprehensive patient-centered care, utilizing your expertise in medication management, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes. Duties
- Prescribe medications independently within your scope of practice, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and current medications.
- Apply your anatomy knowledge to evaluate patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer medications accurately, including injections and other forms of medication delivery, following best practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans that meet individual patient needs.
- Educate patients on medication use, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications for optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of prescriptions, assessments, and interventions in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacist with independent prescribing rights or eligible for IP certification.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and support patients and healthcare colleagues.
