We are looking for an Experienced Senior Baker to join our multi award-winning team. MCB is a craft bakery based in the north Cotswolds. We create handmade ‘real’ products suppling local shops, delis and many of the most recognised Cotswold’s award-winning pubs, hotels and restaurants. We have over 200 active customers every week.
Our bakery is still growing and expanding due to the high demand for our sourdough loaves and other sourdough and yeasted products.
It is essential that you have an independent means of transport due to the rural location of the farm, where the bakery is based.
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000
We can provide help with relocation to the beautiful Cotswolds if required.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Senior Baker at Mark’s Cotswold Bakery you will be working in all sections, including oven, table work and mixing.
We have a range of shift patterns from 11:00-20.00 or 13:00-23:00 (exact ending times will vary during the week and season, so flexibility is essential) and we also have a rotation for weekend work.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- Expertise in artisan bread‑making
- Ability to develop and create new bakery products
- Skilled in hand‑shaping high hydration sourdough breads
- Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
