Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Multi Skilled Civils & Reinstatement Operatives to join our team. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in a hands-on environment, combining technical expertise with practical skills to deliver high-quality civil and reinstatement projects. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for executing a variety of civil engineering tasks, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency across all projects. Your proactive approach and mechanical aptitude will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in infrastructure development and maintenance. Yard based on the isle of sheppey but works covering the whole of the UK.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators to assist with excavation, trenching, and site clearance activities.
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out reinstatement tasks including patching, surfacing, and surface repairs.
- Perform welding tasks to repair or modify metal components as required on-site.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Assist with cables pulls
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.
- Support the team in reinstating roadways, pavements, or pathways after excavation or utility work is completed, ensuring minimal disruption.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery in civil environments.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools with a focus on safety and precision.
- Basic welding skills with the ability to undertake minor repairs or modifications.
- Mechanical knowledge applicable to maintaining and troubleshooting construction equipment.
- Electrical experience or understanding of electrical systems relevant to civil works is highly desirable.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications such as shea power, NPORS, manual handling, first aid, asbestos awareness, abrasive wheel and a clean UK driving licence (electric) Must also be happy to work away for periods
- Relevant certifications for water (water hygiene, shea water, manual handling, first aid, abrasive wheel, street works card, NPORS) Water contract located in London. 4 years worth of work, van & tools provided. Must have extensive water background

Pay: £25,420.00-£79,752.65 per year
