We are looking for a good all rounder who will play a key role in maintaining high standards of customer experience by supporting the business in all aspects of maintenance and upkeep including; performing minor repairs, coordinating external contractors and performing regular maintenance checks and audits. This role is based at Rheged in Penrith.
You will play a key part in external presentation of the centre to include regular pressure washing, kerb clearance and ensuring the bin compound is tidy. You will also support the Facilities Manager with basic maintenance duties to assist with the upkeep of the site including basic joinery, basic plumbing and bulb changes. Biomass boiler checks and cleaning will be required including emptying of the ash bin. As well as overseeing ordering of wood chip and heating oil. You will need to coordinate and work with our external contractors and oversee minor projects as required by the Facilities Manager. All maintenance jobs will need to be logged via Access Maintain and there will be some weekly checks which will required such as, legionella flushing, waste drainage inspections and fire alarm tests. You may be required to carry out snow clearing/gritting during the winter months and you must adhere to all health and safety guidelines and training during the use of equipment and machinery.
This is a part-time, fixed-term role for 6 months working 30 hours a week (4 days out of 7) with some weekend working required on a rota basis.
