The Listen Learn Lead Programme Practitioner is responsible for delivering White Ribbon NI’s Listen Learn Lead programme to a range of adult based audiences including teachers, 3rd level education, community and sport organisation leaders, workplaces and prison settings.
The role involves creating safe and engaging learning environments where participants can explore issues relating to violence against women and girls, healthy relationships, respect,equality, accountability and positive leadership.

Key responsibilities include: Delivering high-quality Listen Learn Lead workshops in line with White Ribbon NI standards and values. Facilitating meaningful discussions with participants while encouraging respectful challenges, reflection and learning. Building positive relationships with participants, partner organisations and stakeholders.
Managing group dynamics and responding appropriately to challenging conversations and disclosures. Promoting active bystander behaviours, positive role modelling and leadership among participants. Supporting participants to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to contribute to ending violence against women and girls.
Recording attendance, monitoring outcomes and contributing to programme evaluation requirements. Representing White Ribbon NI professionally at workshops, events and partnership meetings.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures, violence against women and girls, and emerging issues affecting men and boys.
The Listen Learn Lead Programme Practitioner plays a key role in White Ribbon NI’s mission to engage the whole community, specifically men and boys, challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours, and create safer communities for women and girls across Northern Ireland. Based on White Ribbon NI’s published Listen Learn Lead programme materials and programme descriptions, the role centres on education, reflection, leadership development and prevention-focused engagement.
Requirements - Essential:
- 6 months+ experience delivering programmes , training or coaching a variety of people in group settings
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with evidence of positive collaboration.
- Able to meet travel requirements across Northern Ireland using either private transport(full driving license and access to a vehicle) or public transport.
- Working knowledge of safeguarding children and young people Comfortable within the workshop material – comfortable to discuss relationships, consent and related topics.
- Knowledge of MicroSoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams).
- Desirable Experience engaging young men and boys in positive, strengths-based work
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C) or equivalent.
