Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance person to join our residential care home.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the home and have the skills to paint, wallpaper, repair items in the home. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership qualities, and excellent customer service skills to maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. A willingness to work in the garden would be a great benefit
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical items in the home
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Skills
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for clear documentation and team coordination.
- Customer service orientation with a focus on problem-solving under pressure.
