About the role
At ONSIDE ‘s Children & Families Service (Melo), we’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Children & Families Services Manager to lead and develop our services across Kidderminster and Redditch.
You’ll lead a dedicated team delivering wellbeing support to children, young people and families, ensuring services are safe, inclusive, effective and responsive to local needs. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll oversee referrals, waiting lists, engagement and performance, while driving service improvements and using data to enhance outcomes.

**This role is for 30 hours per week. To be worked over a minimum of 4 days to include Saturday mornings from 9am to 1pm and one early evening per week up until 7pm. You will be working within our Kidderminster and Redditch locations.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate manager who is committed to and passionate about improving the health, wellbeing and life outcomes of children, young people and families.
You will be a confident and supportive leader with strong people management skills and a proven ability to motivate, develop and empower teams to deliver high-quality services. Experience of managing or leading teams within children’s services, family support, wellbeing, community, early help or related services would be highly beneficial, alongside experience of monitoring service performance, quality and outcomes.
You will have a strong understanding of early intervention, prevention and person-centred approaches, recognising the importance of providing timely support that helps children, young people and families thrive.
With excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you will be able to develop effective partnerships, engage positively with a wide range of stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes. You will be solution-focused, proactive and resilient, with the ability to navigate challenges, drive improvements and adapt to changing priorities.
