Our Company operates in the Global Import & Export Industry
This role heavily admin based, some key areas that the role will cover are:
- Planning transport: domestic and global
- Making transport bookings using portals, email and phone
- Compiling electronic loading documents and customs documents
- Reviewing Export Health Certificates
- Making intake and outtake bookings at coldstores worldwide
- Maintaining digital filing records
- Dealing with freight forwarders and custom brokers
- Developing links with domestic and global transport partners
- Amongst many other things
Required skills:
- Flexibility – role will require out of hours cover evenings & weekends – while we try to minimise the amount of work out of office hours, it does happen and new need someone who can be a first responder when it counts
- Strong computer skills
- Be comfortable communicating by phone, email & in-person
- Clarity, patience and understanding when dealing with stakeholders whose first language is not English
- Problem solver
- Ability to juggle various tasks at once and prioritise workload
- Keen to learn – we don’t expect you to know everything about global logistics before you start but you need to want to find out once in the role
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Unfazed by continual changes
- Personable & a Team Player
Logistics:
Despite being an international company - you would be employed by the UK arm of our company so the Right to Work in UK is essential for this role
Based on-site in our office in Ayr, Scotland. UK - non-negotiable: onsite only role
Salary:
Depends on skills of the candidate: above NMW

Our company sends food around the world, but you don’t need to have come from our industry, we will teach you all about what we do
Some areas that you may have gained relevant transferable experience could be from:
Importing / Exporting / Customs / Transport / Logistics / Planning
