Accountant | Redditch (Lakeside Industrial Estate) | Springmasters | £25k to £35k
Springmasters Ltd is a manufacturer and stockist of springs and is one of Europe’s leading organisations in the Spring industry. We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our finance team, covering the retirement of a long-standing member of staff. This is a hands-on, all-round finance role suited to someone with solid practical experience across the full accounting cycle.
About the Role
You'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, working closely with the wider team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Nominal Ledger – preparing and posting journals, monthly account reconciliation, and month-end close
- Management Accounts – monthly calculations for prepayments, accruals, interest, bad debts and exchange rate variances
- Fixed Asset Registers – maintaining up-to-date registers covering purchases, sales and depreciation
- VAT Returns – preperation, completion and reconciliation to the nominal ledger
- P11D – preparation and submission, liaising with auditors
- Management and Insurance Recharges
- Euro Bank Statement – processing and balancing to the nominal ledger
- Year-End Support – preparing reports and journals for the company's auditors
- Payroll - weekly and monthly payroll
About You
- Proven, practical experience in a similar all-round accounts role
- Confident managing a full nominal ledger and month-end process
- Comfortable with VAT, fixed assets, and payroll-adjacent tasks such as P11D
- Organised, accurate, and able to work independently
- Experience working in an accounts office or the necessary qualification
- Training will be given where required.
Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
