We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to recipes and safety standards
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and ingredient handling
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Organise storage areas, ensuring ingredients are properly labelled and stored at correct temperatures
- Prepare ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning for cooking or serving
- Serve food to customers or staff in accordance with hygiene standards
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
- Support the team during busy periods by ensuring smooth operation of kitchen activities
- Cleaning of Kitchen area
- Responsible for Pot wash operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
