Part-Time Private Driver / Chauffeur
Flexible / Ad-Hoc Hours | Bury & Greater Manchester
We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and professional Part-Time Private Driver / Chauffeur to provide driving assistance for a private individual.
This is a highly flexible, as-and-when-required position rather than a role with fixed daily hours.
Previous chauffeur experience is not essential. We are more interested in finding the right person – someone dependable, punctual, discreet, flexible and an excellent, safe driver.
About the Role
The role will involve driving to a variety of destinations depending upon requirements.
No two weeks will necessarily be the same. Some weeks may involve several journeys, while other periods may be considerably quieter.
Journeys may include:
* Local appointments and meetings
* Business-related journeys
* Manchester and surrounding areas
* Railway stations and airports
* Longer-distance journeys when required
* Waiting and return journeys
* Occasional evening or weekend journeys
* Other general driving requirements
The role is intended to provide a reliable and trusted driver who can be contacted when required.
Flexibility & Availability
Flexibility is particularly important for this position.
There are no guaranteed fixed daily hours, and driving requirements can vary from week to week.
For that reason, this position may particularly suit someone who is:
* Semi-retired or retired and looking for some additional work
* No longer looking for full-time employment
* Looking for something interesting and varied to occupy some of their time
* Able to be relatively flexible with their availability
* Happy working on an occasional/as-required basis
* Interested in becoming a trusted and appreciated part of a wider business environment
It may be less suitable for someone with significant existing work commitments or someone who requires guaranteed fixed hours every week.

* Holder of a clean UK driving licence

* Comfortable driving both locally and longer distances
* Comfortable waiting between appointments when necessary
* Able to communicate clearly by telephone and message
Previous experience as a chauffeur, professional driver or private driver would be advantageous, but is not essential and training/guidance can be provided.
More Than Just a Driving Job
We would like to find someone who can become a trusted and reliable person rather than simply someone completing individual journeys.
The work can be varied and will involve meeting different people and travelling to different places.
For the right individual, it could be an enjoyable position providing additional income, variety and involvement without the commitment of a conventional full-time job.
Hours
Part-time / Ad-hoc / As required
Hours will vary according to requirements and may occasionally include:
* mornings
* Daytime
* Evenings
* Weekends
* Airport journeys
Applicants therefore need to have a reasonable degree of flexibility.

Based around Bury / North Manchester
Pay
Competitive – dependent upon experience and agreed working arrangement.
