We are Ribble Farm, a thriving family owned and managed business with over 50 years of history based in Longridge, Preston. We supply a wide range of products such as fruit, vegetables, dairy, prepared produce, dry goods and sundries to a customer base that includes restaurants, hotels, schools, arenas and large sporting clubs. Our coverage spans across the north of England with pockets in the south.

The Role
The ideal candidate will need at least one year's experience working as a multiple drop delivery driver, driving a 3.5 Ton Van and hold a UK/EU/EEA Drivers licence. For insurance purposes must be over the age of 21.
This position is based out of our Preston depot (PR3 3BT), requiring any candidate able to make their own way to and from work.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our customer receives an on-time delivery with a friendly attitude, as a representative of the Ribble brand.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Loading of the vehicles as required, checking while loading.
- Ensure all deliveries are made in a safe and timely manner.
- Obtain signed PODs at each delivery location, using the company’s preferred method, checking off each order as delivered.
- There will be occasional collection of goods from our local suppliers.
- Must be capable of lifting heavy items and performing physical tasks as needed.
- Report any required changes to the route order, to ensure the most cost-effective route is always followed.
- Report any customer issue during debrief, such as invoicing/delivery discrepancies.
- Collect payment from customers as required, checking any cash payments received and keep money securely until handed into accounts dept.
- Rejection of any products by the customer must be reported to the office when debriefing takes place.
- No goods must be collected without prior approval.
- Ensure any returned product is shown to the Warehouse Manager prior to putting back into stock.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks completing paperwork/software provided by the company. Report any vehicle defects to the Transport Manager.
- Report any accidents or vehicle damage to the Transport Manager, recording on the company’s accident report forms.
- Ensure returnable trays are returned daily.
- Empty vehicle of any boxes etc. recycling or disposing of as required.
- Rinse/wash any returnable trays as required, placing clean trays in designated area.
- Routinely clean vehicles inside and out.
- Ensure vehicle are fuelled up regularly for the following day.
- If required assist with warehouse duties.
