About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in young people's lives as a Sport, Nutrition and Wellbeing Tutor with YMCA Derbyshire. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you'll do far more than deliver lessons-you'll inspire, motivate, and empower learners to overcome barriers, build confidence, and unlock their full potential. Working with a diverse group of young people, including those with additional needs, you'll create engaging, real-world learning experiences that bring sport and wellbeing to life while supporting their journey into education, employment, and independence. Every day offers the chance to celebrate progress, champion inclusion, and be part of a supportive team that is truly changing lives.

What we're looking for
We're looking for a passionate and proactive individual who is committed to helping young people succeed, no matter their starting point. You'll be an inspiring communicator with the ability to engage and motivate learners, build strong relationships, and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. With experience in sport, nutrition and wellbeing -and ideally working with young people-you'll bring both practical knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting others. You'll be adaptable, patient, and organised, able to balance multiple priorities while responding to individual learner needs, including those with additional support requirements. Most importantly, you'll have a can-do attitude, a strong sense of empathy, and a drive to make a lasting impact by helping learners grow in confidence, develop key life skills, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
