The Role
We are seeking confident and reliable bar staff to join our team. Successful candidates will have previous experience working behind a busy bar and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a consistently high standard.
- Pouring and presenting quality draught products, including an excellent pint of Guinness.
- Building positive relationships with customers and helping create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handling cash and card transactions accurately.
- Cashing up tills and completing end-of-shift reconciliation procedures.
- Opening and closing the premises in line with company procedures.
- Changing beer, lager, and cider barrels safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout the bar, cellar, customer areas, and the pub as a whole.
- Keeping work areas organised, stocked, and presentable at all times.
- Effectively multitasking during busy periods while maintaining service standards and attention to detail.
- Following all licensing, health and safety, and company policies.
- Working effectively as part of a team during busy trading periods.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a busy pub or bar environment.
- Experience cashing up tills and carrying out opening and closing duties.
- Experience changing barrels and working within a cellar environment.
- Proven ability to maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented bar and pub environment.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Confident pouring and serving draught products to a high standard.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to engage naturally with customers.
- Reliable, hardworking, and capable of taking pride in their workplace.
- Flexible availability, including late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Right to work in the UK.
