5 days out of 7, including evenings and weekends
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Assistant to join our friendly Stewarding team at St Antony’s College.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you will help provide a welcoming and professional food and drink service for students, Fellows, staff and guests. You will work as part of a supportive front-of-house team in our Dining Hall and at meetings, formal dinners and College events.
What you’ll do
Your work will include:
- Serving food and drinks at lunches, formal dinners and College events
- Setting up and clearing dining and meeting rooms
- Operating the Dining Hall tills when required
- Clearing tables and keeping dining and service areas clean and tidy
- Helping with stock deliveries and storing equipment
- Supporting colleagues across the Stewarding team as required
What we’re looking for
You will have:
- A strong commitment to excellent customer service
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to work
- Strong teamwork skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work well with a wide range of people
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends
Previous experience in hospitality, food and drink service or another customer-facing role would be an advantage, but is not essential.
