Hendersons Travel in Hawick requires two Retail Travel Consultants for maternity cover on fixed-term contracts from 27th July 2026 to 27th August 2027. The total need is 8 days per week across two recruits, therefore we are inviting applications for working 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
Hendersons Travel has been serving the community of Hawick’s leisure travel needs for almost six decades. We offer holidays, cruises and flight-only bookings, as well as an in-store currency exchange bureau.
Although our agency is locally owned and managed alongside sister branch Kelso Travel in Kelso, we operate as part of the Hays Travel Independence Group, benefiting from the buying power, resources and advanced technology of the UK's largest travel agency company.
The successful candidate will sell travel, insurance and foreign currency with the enthusiasm, commitment and passion for customer care that characterises our business.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in travel retail preferred but not essential
- Previous sales experience and being well travelled would be beneficial
- Capable user of IT and comfortable with learning new systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills

Hours:
Opening hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday with 30 minutes for lunch.
Pay: £24,800.00-£26,500.00 per year
