We are seeking an experienced and clinically focused Clinical Deputy Care Home Manager to support the Registered Home Manager in the day-to-day leadership of a high-quality nursing care home.
The successful candidate will be an NMC Registered Nurse with an active PIN (VITAL) and will play a key role in maintaining high standards of clinical care, regulatory compliance and resident wellbeing.

Provide strong clinical leadership across the home, supporting the Registered Manager and wider management team.

Ensure residents receive safe, effective and person-centred nursing care.

Maintain oversight of care plans, clinical assessments, risk assessments and resident outcomes.

Monitor and support medication management, including audits and safe administration practices.

Lead and monitor clinical audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate action plans.

Ensure robust infection prevention and control procedures are maintained.

Support effective management of safeguarding concerns, accidents, incidents and clinical investigations.

Work closely with GPs, district nurses, hospitals and other external healthcare professionals.

Ensure residents' changing clinical needs are identified promptly and appropriate action is taken.

Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the care home.

Lead, motivate and develop nursing and care teams, promoting a positive clinical culture.

Provide supervision, coaching and support to nursing and care staff.

Assist with recruitment, induction and ongoing development of clinical and care employees.

Promote high standards of professionalism, accountability and teamwork.

Take responsibility for the home in the Registered Manager's absence.

Support the Registered Manager in maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.

Ensure care documentation, clinical records and policies are maintained to a high standard.

Assist with preparation for CQC inspections and regulatory visits.

Contribute to quality improvement plans and ensure agreed actions are implemented.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement across clinical care and service delivery.

Build strong and professional relationships with residents, relatives and representatives.

Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

Support the delivery of truly person-centred care, ensuring individual preferences and outcomes are reflected in care planning.

Respond appropriately to concerns and complaints, escalating where necessary.

Promote residents' wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

Work closely with the Registered Manager to maintain effective staffing levels and safe clinical staffing.

Support effective handovers and communication across the nursing and care teams.

Assist with maintaining high occupancy and efficient service delivery where required.

Support the Registered Manager with budgets, resources and operational planning.

Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.

NMC Registered Nurse with an active PIN - VITAL AND REQUIRED

Previous experience within a nursing or residential care home environment.

Previous experience in a senior nursing, clinical leadership or deputy management position.

Strong understanding of CQC regulations, clinical governance and safeguarding.

Strong knowledge of care planning, medication management, risk management and clinical audits.

Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop nursing and care teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Ability to work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and wider senior leadership team.

Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care or equivalent.

Previous Deputy Manager or Clinical Deputy Manager experience.

Experience working towards or maintaining a Good or Outstanding CQC rating.

Experience within a nursing home supporting residents with complex clinical needs.
-
Experience managing and developing large multidisciplinary teams.
