Job Title: CNC Machine Miller
Location: Consett
Hours: Night shift
Pay: £24.65ph
AMLR are looking for a CNC Machine Miller to join a leading aerospace manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components to strict aerospace standards.
Key responsibilities for CNC Machine Miller:
- Producing precision components from engineering drawings using CNC machines.
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines efficiently and accurately.
- Working with 3 and 5 Axis milling machines.
- Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and following manufacturing instructions.
- Carrying out quality checks on finished components and ensuring work meets the required standard.
- Using a wide variety of measuring equipment to inspect components.
- Working independently and understanding all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Cleaning and maintaining CNC machines, associated equipment and the machine area.
- Working in accordance with ISO 50001, 14001, 45001 and 9001 standards.
- Supporting continual improvement across manufacturing, quality, health and safety, environmental, energy and sustainability management.
- Supporting the Energy team by identifying opportunities for energy reduction and savings within the scope of the role.
Requirements for CNC Machine Miller:
- Fully skilled, time-served CNC Setter/Operator with relevant certificates.
- Experience setting and operating 3 and 5 Axis milling machines.
- Previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using a wide range of measuring equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and concentration to ensure consistently high-quality components.
- Good practical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Good understanding of quality, health and safety and manufacturing standards.
