DNA Vetcare is an independent veterinary group with over 50 practices across the UK, and we're continuing to grow. We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting the commercial performance of our expanding business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and wants to make a real impact within a growing organisation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, providing commercial insight, and supporting operational decision-making across a business with multiple legal entities, ongoing acquisitions, and franchise/partnership arrangements. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to help drive performance while maintaining strong financial controls.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant within a large, multi-site organisation (30+ sites or £30m+ turnover).
- At least 3 years' experience in a multi-site environment.
- CIMA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified (ACA also considered). Candidates whose highest qualification is AAT will be considered only with substantial subsequent practical experience, ideally alongside current study towards CIMA or ACCA.
- Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, and supporting a Financial Controller or senior finance function.
- Knowledge of franchise and/or partnership business models — essential.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence partnering with stakeholders across the business.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing organisation.
- An interest in embracing technology and a willingness to use AI tools to improve efficiency and support business processes.
- The ability to commute to our Chatham or Ilford office, living within approximately 40 minutes of the site.

- A stable, growing business with exciting long-term opportunities
- Supportive and collaborative working environment
- Opportunity to work with senior leaders across a diverse multi-site organisation
