Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Production Team Leader to join Surya Foods in <LOCATION>. Based at our main hub in <LOCATION>, this role is vital in overseeing daily production operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet our standards of excellence. Your leadership will help sustain our mission of providing authentic world foods to our valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and motivate a team to achieve daily production targets
- Allocate tasks and organise workflow across the shift
- Monitor performance, output, and quality standards, addressing issues promptly
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues during shift
- Provide on-the-job guidance, coaching, and support to team members
- Maintain accurate shift records, reports, and handover information
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and site standards at all times
- Escalate equipment faults, staffing issues, or production delays to management
- Support training and induction of new starters within the team
- Promote a positive working environment and good team communication
Qualifications
- Minimum HACCP Level 2 qualification
- Previous experience in a production or operational environment
- Experience supervising or leading a team
- Experience managing performance issues and supporting performance improvement
- Experience managing shift rotas and workforce planning
- Experience handling sickness absence monitoring and return-to-work processes
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good attention to detail and standards compliance
- Understanding of health & safety practices
