This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious hospitality manager to join the opening leadership team, help shape a brand-new venue from day one, and play a key role in the next stage of Fever-Tree's growth journey.
The Role – Assistant General Manager
Reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with them to lead the day-to-day operation of our newest premium airport bar. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, support the General Manager in building, leading, and developing a high-performing team, and ensure the venue consistently meets the highest operational standards.
You will act as a key support to the General Manager, helping to drive service, standards, compliance, team performance, and profitability while setting the tone for a positive and professional working environment.
You will:
- Support the General Manager with the successful launch of our newest venue at Gatwick Airport
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing team development
- Lead shifts confidently, taking responsibility for service delivery, standards, and team direction in the General Manager's absence
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences that reflect the Fever-Tree brand
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members to perform at their best
- Ensure our premium service standards are consistently achieved
- Support stock management, ordering, cost control, and stock accuracy
- Assist with labour planning, rota management, productivity, and daily operational controls
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, health & safety, licensing, and airport regulations
- Support the General Manager in delivering business targets, budgets, sales performance, and profitability
- Act as a brand ambassador and uphold Fever-Tree standards at all times
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a confident and driven Assistant General Manager with a passion for premium service, strong operational standards, and team development.
Ideal candidates will:
- Have previous Assistant General Manager, Deputy Manager, or strong senior supervisory experience within hospitality
- Have experience leading teams in a busy bar, restaurant, café, hotel, or airport environment
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of guest service and operational excellence
- Be confident coaching, developing, and motivating teams
- Have experience supporting financial controls, compliance, stock management, and labour planning
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be organised, commercially aware, and confident supporting the General Manager with daily business priorities
- Have a genuine passion for hospitality and premium brands
- Hold a valid passport and be able to provide a full 5-year history for airport vetting
- Be flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and airport trading hours

Airport Vetting Requirements
As this role is based airside at Gatwick Airport, all successful applicants must pass aviation security checks, including:
- Holding a valid passport
- Completing a full 5-year background history
- Undergoing a DBS (criminal record) check
