Job Overview
We are looking for reliable and hardworking Bin Loaders to join our clients team, working alongside a refuse collection vehicle crew.
This is a physically demanding role involving the collection and loading of household and commercial waste into refuse collection vehicles. The successful candidates will be expected to work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and emptying bins into refuse collection vehicles.
- Working as part of a team alongside the HGV driver and other loaders.
- Following designated collection routes and instructions.
- Moving bins safely to and from the collection vehicle.
- Ensuring waste is handled safely and efficiently.
- Reporting any damaged or unsafe bins, equipment or areas to the supervisor.
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures.
- Wearing the correct PPE at all times.
- Maintaining a professional and reliable attitude while representing the company.
Requirements
- Previous experience in waste collection or a similar role is advantageous but full training can be provided.
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual work.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work to a set schedule.
Working Conditions
The role involves regular lifting, walking and manual handling and can be physically demanding. Candidates must be prepared for early starts and working outdoors throughout the year.
