We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant/Prep Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about food who wants to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.
You will work closely with senior chefs, assisting with food preparation and service while learning new techniques and maintaining high kitchen standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping, portioning ingredients)
- Support chefs during service with cooking and plating dishes
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene at all times
- Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy, and organised throughout service
- Follow food safety and health & safety regulations
- Assist with stock rotation and deliveries when required
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or catering experience preferred but not essential
- Willingness to carry out cleaning and pot wash duties when required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
