Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Breakfast Chef/Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be the expect to prepare and cook Scottish breakfast for buffet style hotel. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of meal preparation and service.
- Support the kitchen team in daily operations, including cleaning, organizing workstations, and stock control.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to deliver visually appealing dishes that meet guest expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of breakfast service during busy periods.
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests or front-of-house staff as required.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes specific to breakfast cuisine.
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to support seamless kitchen operations.
- Basic knowledge of serving procedures and customer service principles.
- Enthusiasm for learning new recipes and developing culinary skills in a lively environment.
