We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in St Albans that is looking to appoint a qualified Year 1 / Year 2 Teacher to teach a mixed Year 1 / Year 2 class from the start of the new academic year.
This is initially a one-year contract with the potential to become permanent. The school will also consider teachers who are looking for a long-term position for the academic year.
The school has a supportive leadership team, a caring and inclusive ethos, and provides an excellent environment for both staff and pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly school community and make a real difference in Key Stage 1.
What you'll be doing:
Teaching a mixed Year 1 / Year 2 class
Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons
Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupil progress
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents
Contributing to the wider life of the school
What we're looking for:
A qualified Primary Teacher with QTS
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
Someone who is enthusiastic, nurturing and passionate about helping children succeed
