We are looking for Class 1 bulk tipper drivers to join our team for the 2026 / 27 sugar beet campaign!
We’re preparing for the upcoming sugar beet campaign and are on the lookout for dedicated drivers to join our team in September. The campaign is likely to continue until February/March, and could lead to a full-time position if desired.
Day work! Get your day started early and get home every evening. Also, suitable for trampers as nights out are available.
Flexible shift patterns available.
Age is not a barrier as we and our insurance company are supportive of all age groups. If you’re the right candidate but lack experience, we are committed to providing training to enthusiastic candidates.
Responsibilities
- Transport sugar beet from fields to British Sugar factories, ensuring safe and timely delivery of the harvested crop.
- Follow safety rules which you learned during your induction, when you arrive at the sugar beet factory.
- Safely operate HGV vehicles, following traffic laws, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Plan efficient routes considering traffic, road conditions, and customer requirements.
- Load and unload goods responsibly.
- Conduct pre-use vehicle inspections and regular maintenance checks on the HGV vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry best practices for HGV driving, safety, and customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections and other required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
- Report incidents, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions immediately to the appropriate authorities.
Requirements:
- Valid and clean LGV C+E driving licence and DQC (driver qualification card).
- Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
